Official ballot wording
Should the Nevada Constitution be amended to create an individual’s fundamental right to an abortion, without interference by state or local governments, whenever the abortion is performed by a qualified healthcare professional until fetal viability or when necessary to protect the health or life of the pregnant individual at any point during the pregnancy?
Choices: Yes / No
A YES vote (Yes): A new section of the Nevada Constitution would establish a right to abortion until fetal viability, and afterward when needed to protect the pregnant person's life or health, without interference from state or local governments.
A NO vote (No): The Nevada Constitution stays as it is. Abortion remains a right under existing state law.
To pass: a majority of the votes cast on the question statewide, for the second time.
From the official explanatory statement: This initiative, if approved by the voters, amends the Nevada Constitution to create a constitutional right to abortion.
Official ballot wording
Should the Nevada Constitution be amended to require voters to either present photo identification to verify their identity when voting in-person or to provide certain personal information to verify their identity when voting by mail ballot?
Choices: Yes / No
A YES vote (Yes): The Nevada Constitution would require in-person voters to show an approved photo ID and mail voters to give the last four digits of their Nevada driver's license or Social Security number (or the number assigned when they registered). The Legislature would write the details in 2027, for the 2028 elections.
A NO vote (No): The Nevada Constitution stays as it is. Most voters are not asked for ID.
To pass: a majority of the votes cast on the question statewide, for the second time.
From the official explanatory statement: Because voters approved the measure during the 2024 General Election, it will appear on the 2026 General Election ballot for a second vote. If approved there, the Nevada Legislature could create related laws through legislation during the 2027 Legislative Session and these changes would go into effect for the 2028 election cycle.
